Abstract

SYNTHESIS AND ANTIMICROBIAL ACTIVITY OF SOME SUBSTITUTED 2-PYRAZOLINES SULPHONAMIDE HYBRID COMPOUNDS

ABSTRACT

A series of substituted 2-pyrazolines derivatives were synthesized by refluxing from various substituted chalcones and nicotinic acid hydrazide in two steps. The synthesized compounds were characterized by elemental analyses, IR, 1H NMR and Mass spectral data and were evaluated for antibacterial activity against four different bacterial species and antifungal activity against two different fungal species. Some of them have shown significant activity when compared with the standard.
