ABSTRACT

A novel series of mannich bases of substituted acetophenone derivatives were synthesized. These compounds were identified on the basis of melting point range, Rf values, elemental analysis, IR and 1H NMR spectral analysis. The compounds were evaluated for antimicrobial, analgesic and antiinflammatory activities. All compounds exhibited significant to moderate biological activity.

Keywords: Mannich base, Acetophenone, antimicrobial, analgesic, anti-inflammatory activity.
